JSTOR e-Books (Approx 41000) available for JNU Library users

Central Library, JNU has subscribed to e-books available at JSTOR under Demand Driven Acquisition Model. Under this model you will be having access to all available eBooks at JSTOR (approx 41000) in various subject areas. The list is enclosed. Most of these books are available chapter wise (pdf) download/viewing.

Purchase Model:

Under above model any book chapter, once having 4 downloads or 6 viewing will be considered as purchased and the cost will be debited from our deposit account. Therefore, you are requested to please view/download only a relevant book/chapter. Once 4/6 views are there, books will be added to the Central Library, JNU collection for lifelong access. This is a new model being experimented first time. So you are requested to be alert while having a download / viewing.

How to Access:

The JSTOR e-books can be accessed from the JSTOR link given at JNU Library site under online databases and e-books. The URL is www.jstor.org.It can be accessed anytime / anywhere through remote access.
